I’m back again with a frothy update as the DB Super Tug overhaul programme seems to be kicking into gear a bit with 3 examples running around now and there seems to be one bolted on to one of the tank trains out of South Wales on a daily basis, thankfully most weekends it seems to be 6B33 which is ideal for me.
It was a glorious sunny winter day although the temperature was hovering just above zero which gave things a chill especially when your standing around lineside for over an hour waiting for your quarry! 6B33 is known to depart almost up to an hour early on occasions like last week when it passed Wantage Road at its booked departure time from Theale however today it was running to booked time and as the sun diced with some small clouds it all clicked into place as 60054 passed Wanatge Road on the 6B33 Theale – Margam empties looking rather good!
