Two firsts in todays update, one a brand new location and two a new livery! Colas have been running a number of steel trains to and from South Wales for some time now but I have never seemed to get around to photographing these workings but today I bagged my first Colas Class 66!
Colas have been running a service most weekends but as the light isn’t ideal at the time it passes through the Thames Valley I have always given it a miss until today when I thought I would make an effort and decided to try a new shot at Goring Spring Farm, although a bit shadowy it still makes a decent shot I think and a nice clean 66844 provided the power for today’s 6Z78 Margam – Dollands Moor steel.
