I managed to oversleep this morning so missed the mornings excitement with the Northern Belle and King Edward I both heading up to London on charter workings. The gen lines were a bit quiet with no reportings on 6B33 today so decided to give it a miss and headed to Cholsey to get a couple of the early afternoon liners. Once on site I discovered DBS liveried 66097 had produced on 6B33 which would have made a nice shot but I guess I will have years to photograph that livery as it is applied to more locos in the future as it becomes standardised.
To make up for for I managed to bag myself a shot of an Ex DRS liveried shed which had now been transferred to Freightliner and probably more interesting considering it will probably lose this livery very shortly. 66420 did the honours on the 4O02 Lawley Street – Southampton and managed to catch a gap in the clouds (Just!) making a nice colourful scene.
