Well it has been some time since my last update which was a month and a half ago! There hasn’t been much interesting stuff to get out and phot and when there was I was either working or the weather was poor. Well this week is Royal Ascot racing week with plenty of special services being laid on this week for the racing. Every day there is at least one working a day from Manchester/Crewe with a couple laid on for ladies day. The forecast was hot and sunny up untl Tuesday and then rain so today looks like the best oppurtunity to get out to phot one of the workings.

I decided to go out to Oxford North Junction which is quite a nice morning shot. Now that Royal Mail have pulled out of mail by rail the fleet of class 67s are laid up most of the time so now they seem to be the staple diet for specials and charters. 67013 was the booked traction for todays working and I wouldn’t mind betting it will put in a repeat performance the rest of the week. If the weather holds out I will try to phot some of the other workings this week.
